While I don't blame you for feeling resentful, it could be that Carol isn't a "functioning depressive" like you and I. You know, "functioning depressives" - same as functioning alcoholics, they have all the same problems as "regular" alcoholics, but somehow manage to get to work (or school) every day, pay their bills & rent, grocery shop, do their laundry, etc. Then there are the depressives (or drunks) who can't manage to stumble from the bed to the shower day to day. Not trying to make excuses and *NO* is is unacceptable for management to expect everyone else to pick up Carol/Karen?'s slack. What they should do is either suggest she take an extended leave or relieve her of employment - something I'm surprised they haven't already done. Good luck sweetie. *Hugs*

It might not be the battery itself, but the connections- the reason jumping it seems like it works is because the clamps are pressing the wires in the connectors to the battery...I had something similar happen not long ago, and it was really easy to fix. Or you need a new battery, which, not hard to fix either- but a huge pain in the ass which I am sorry you are having to deal with. I am still ignoring my car issues and riding my bike instead. Because as the Hold Steady say "I grew up in Denial, and went to school in Massachusetts..."
