Don't get so down! Maybe you just need to meet a new group of people. What about some of the peeps from the new store? Or here is the best way to meet caring people - borrow a friend's puppy or dog and go to the pet store. EVERYONE wants to talk to you, and you'd be amazed at the number of nice people you'll meet! *Hugs*

It's the drinking that made it worse- trust me. I'd bet anything your bad night was an accidental combination of incidental hormones (how alcohol effects me changes depending on my cycle and you know, you usually can't tell how close you are/were to your period until you get it)with a dash of disappointment. Plus I find hanging around with a much younger group pretty depressing too. It's too bad that it's hard to anticipate the blue mood approaching because it's usually more than evident once you've had a drink, and then it's too late to do something about it. I mean you can stop at the one drink- but that mood? It's like one drop of alcohol turns a little vibe into a raging monster of depression that's knocking down all the carefully built buildings of your psyche. Channel this into the writing. It will exorcise it a little.

If I've left you too many comments lately, I'll retreat, but since I have been reading you every day for a couple months now, I sometimes feel compelled to. I agree pretty much with lap, but would also add that, from what it seems from the outside at least, you seem to be in a "holding pattern" which I hope you can break out of, in order to get to greener pastures and experience new horizons. We all know it's dangerous to drive drunk, and most of us have done it anyway, but my experience is that it usually doesn't get better from there. You seem a good person, and I hope you can believe in yourself enough to realize you're worthy of getting the help you need, and that the help does exist. Good luck to you. I am praying for you.
