Oh,y'all, I'm the weakest of the weak. But I don't care. I texted him today because I thought to myself "he's my friend! I want to tell him something!". So I let him know that I was going to have to buy a new car. We chatted briefly about that. Then I texted him to let him know that I'd just bought a new car. He texted back "Sweet!". About 45 minutes later I looked at my phone again and saw his aggravated "Well?! What is it?!". Hee.

Yes, I bought a new car. I got a Kia Rio in an orange coral. It's so cute. And the stereo cranks! Has a front-loading cd player, which I love. I do have the radio thingy for my iPod to use with it but you have to have the more expensive kind than I have to really have it work well.

The payments are more than I wanted them to be but I did chew them down slightly by saying "I need to go home and think about it". That brought the sales manager in to see what he could do. Heh. But I can deal with these payments. I'd been thinking for a while about getting a part time job to pay off my credit card so that would help both things. I just have to see what I can get that can work with my bookstore schedule hours.

So join me in celebration and bid a fond farewell to my old car. It served me well all these years. It took me to Canada and through the mountains. To the Outer Banks. To Charleston several times. I'll miss you my little Escort. But I'm entering a new phase of my life. And her name is Rio...and she dances on the sand.
